We're here to help you every step of the way. After a Legacy Consultant has helped you decide which package best suits your needs, your project will be assigned to a Legacy Coordinator who will serve as your primary contact for the remainder of the process. Your Legacy Coordinator will be responsible for ensuring that your time spent working with us is as pleasant and stress-free as possible. From scheduling interviews to getting your final approval of your keepsake, the Legacy Coordinator will help everything come together smoothly and efficiently.

One of our Personal Historians will speak with you and/or your honoree(s) over a series of interviews. In these friendly interviews, the Personal Historian will hear the stories, memories and thoughts you wish to commemorate. You'll have the opportunity to prepare for interviews ahead of time as well as to give your Personal Historian feedback regarding what types of questions you're most excited to discuss. Think of these interviews simply as guided conversations with a good listener. Our aim is to make your conversations as comfortable and fruitful as possible.
With the traditional Legacy Collection, interviews will take place over the phone. Your conversations will be recorded and transcribed for use in putting together your Legacy Book.
With the Legacy Collection Gold, your Personal Historian will visit you in-person to conduct the interviews in the comfort of your own home or other favorite setting.

| 1.5 Hour In-Person Interview for Video Legacy |
|
|
A Legacy Filmmaker and Personal Historian will visit you or your honoree in a quiet setting of your choosing to film an additional 1.5 hour interview for your Video Legacy DVD. In addition to the interview, your Legacy Filmmaker will record 1.5 hours of candid footage.

We take the privacy of our customers and honorees very seriously. All recordings, transcriptions, submitted materials and personal information will be kept entirely confidential in secure locations.

| Final Review & Approval |
|
|
You will be able to review the final proofs of your Legacy Book and Video Legacy through our online review system. We won't create the final version of anything until we have your stamp of approval.

| Control Over Sharing Access to Product |

|
Once your keepsakes are complete, they will be made available only to you and the people to whom you decide to grant access. Each product will be given a unique web address on the Legacy Keepers website, the links to which we will provide only to you. It will then be left to your discretion to share the links with others.

The images you submit to display in your Legacy Book may include precious photos, important documents — like letters or recipe cards — or sketches of family trees and timelines. You'll also be encouraged to write a personal caption for each image.

Our transcriptionists will turn your spoken words, recorded in the interviews, into the written words that will make up the text of your book. These professionals are highly skilled and are dedicated to relaying your message with both high speed and accuracy.

A Legacy Text Editor will take the transcriptions of your interviews and arrange your words in a way that is captivating, well-organized and meaningful. Your Legacy Book will present a full story arc and will flow naturally to and from different topics. Subheadings and pulled quotes will help create clear sections, highlight special moments and create visually pleasing pages.

Because this is your story, we believe it imperative that you have a say in its creation. Through our online review system, you will be able to access a draft of your Legacy Book and make your own changes directly to the text. The resubmitted text will be laid into the book along with all of your images to create a final proof.

A written dedication gives you the chance to explain the meaning behind your Legacy Book’s creation, so all who read it can fully understand the significance. This extra personal touch will be added to the first pages of your book to start the story off right.

With the Legacy Book Gold package, all of your images will be professionally retouched to ensure they appear as beautiful as possible in print. In addition, you may choose up to five of those images to be repaired. Repair services include things like correcting red eye, removing timestamps, etc. We'll help make each and every photo look as good as it was intended.
